About the role
Key Accountabilities:
-
Oversees the front a back of house F&B operations on a shift basis for a multi-venue location, ensuring smooth coordination for the team members
-
Supervises other operational initiatives as required, including assisting with the daily kitchen operations, supporting food quality and consistency, and leading the kitchen staff during peak service times
-
Ordering food supplies, paper products and alcoholic beverages according to par levels and menu items daily through Optimum Control, computer knowledge required
-
Assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports, including both kitchen staff and front of house as necessary
-
Schedules and supervises team members, verifies time and attendance, assigns shift work assignments, and ensures appropriate coverage while minimizin operating costs
-
Completes shift reports for management and the next shift, tracks quality and guest issues, and communicates any concerns to management
-
Assists with the screening, selection, and training of new hires, and tracks the progress of ongoing Connect and other training Assises gust alcohol consumption, determines removal or restriction decisions, and communicates these decisions effectively to the guest

Participates in monthly inventory counts and could participate in monthly reviews bundle wide
-
Offers F&B expertise to internal and external customers, ensuring exceptional guest experience
-
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and team members, ensuring seamless service delivery

Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Educational and Functional Requirements:
-
Post-Secondary Food Service and Hospitality Education diploma preferred
-
Minimum 3 years practical front of the house Food & Beverage experience working in a high-volume multi-unit establishment or Casino
-
Proven knowledge of food and wine
-
Minimum 1 year previous Supervisory/Managerial experience
-
Must have valid Smart Serve Certification
-
Valid Food Safety Training and Certificate
-
Customer Service oriented background, excellent people skills, and diversity
-
Fully knowledgeable and maintain complete knowledge and comply with AGCO policies and procedures, rules and regulations and Collective Agreement
-
Knowledge of Squirrel (point of sale system) and Optimum (inventory management system)
-
Computer experience required in Excel, MSword and P.O.S. System
-
Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
-
Able to maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team
-
Effective leadership, oral and written communication skills
-
Competence and professionalism
-
Ability to follow and comply with company and departmental policies and procedures
-
Excellent customer service skill to maintain good rapport with customers and employees
-
Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits

The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
Work Environment Considerations: Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;
This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
