Job Title: Pre-Press & Digital Print Production Specialist (Large Format / Sublimation)
Location: Mississauga, ON (100% In-Person) Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year + Comprehensive Benefits
The Opportunity
Are you a print and signage industry professional who thrives at the intersection of digital pre-press design and hands-on production? We are the largest company in Canada within our product category and a Top 100 global leader in the promotional display and signage space. From massive sports spectacles like the Raptors championship rallies to branded custom tents for soccer camps, high-impact promotional backdrops, and custom table throws—our products define the visual landscape of major events across North America. The traditional screen-printing industry is evolving, and we are leading the charge by scaling our highly popular, state-of-the-art Digital Dye-Sublimation department . We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented specialist to join our close-knit production team of five. This role is a perfect blend of digital graphic preparation and hands-on machinery operation in a fast-paced, cutting-edge manufacturing facility
Shift & Schedule Dynamics To support our rapid production turnaround times, this position transitions to an evening production shift following a thorough daytime training period During Training: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Regular Schedule (Post-Training): Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM (40+ hours weekly) Peak Seasons: Must be flexible to work additional overtime hours, including occasional Saturdays (historically about 5 times per year) during high-demand event seasons .
How You’ll Contribute Pre-Press Design & File Management: Serve as our internal Adobe expert. You will spend a significant portion of your time utilizing Adobe Illustrator (Primary) and Photoshop to review customer artwork, manage PDF workflows, establish precise color profiles, and guarantee files are completely print-ready Advanced Equipment Operation: Command our fleet of large-format digital production printers, seamlessly setting up jobs on elite machinery such as the MS JP4, HP Stitch series, and premium Durst high-speed textile presses Sublimation Workflow Oversight: Manage the digital sublimation process where specialized ink is transferred from paper rolls onto fabric substrates via heated print presses. Production Logistics & Maintenance: Handle daily machine calibration, perform routine printer troubleshooting, and coordinate processing priorities to maintain peak workflow momentum Physical Execution: Confidently manage hands-on production floorspace duties, including the loading, lifting, and changing of heavy industrial fabric rolls using our dedicated mechanical stacking and lifting gear
What You Bring to the Table Industry Experience: 3+ years of technical exposure within the print production, signage fabrication, grand-format display graphics, or commercial textile printing industries. The Software Suite: Expert-level mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, paired with a flawless understanding of CMYK color management and print-imposition layouts. Machinery Familiarity: Prior hands-on experience with industrial dye-sublimation heat transfers and grand-format printers (MS, HP Stitch, Durst, or highly comparable platforms) is strongly preferred Mindset: An autonomous self-starter with a meticulous eye for precision who can multitask effortlessly when deadlines are tight Commute Reliability: Because of our Mississauga location and evening shift constraints, reliable personal transportation is required
