What we offer

The Vice President, Financial Services Technology is a senior enterprise leader accountable for the strategy, performance, and evolution of technology platforms that support Mattamy’s financial operations across Canada and the United States. This role serves as the primary technology partner to Finance leadership, ensuring core financial systems, including ERP and financial performance management platforms, are reliable, well‑governed, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. As a member of the IT Leadership Team, the VP operates at the intersection of finance and technology, providing leadership, oversight, and decision‑making.

What you’ll do

Set the enterprise direction for Financial Services Technology, aligning technology strategy and roadmaps with finance, accounting, planning, and reporting priorities. Serve as a strategic partner to Finance leadership, translating business objectives into clear technology priorities, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes. Provide executive oversight of financial systems and platforms, ensuring accuracy, reliability, scalability, and strong controls without being involved in day‑to‑day configuration or support. Lead a focused team fostering accountability, clarity of ownership, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. Balance operational stewardship with modernization, ensuring mission‑critical financial systems remain stable while enabling enhancements and evolution over time. Establish and maintain strong governance, ensuring technology solutions support financial integrity, auditability, risk management, and compliance expectations. Partner closely with peer technology leaders, including Infrastructure & Operations, Homebuilding Technologies, Data & Security, and Platform Engineering, to deliver cohesive enterprise solutions. Oversee vendor and implementation partners, ensuring external relationships are well‑managed and deliver value aligned with enterprise standards. Advise the CTIO and senior leadership on technology risks, trade‑offs, and opportunities to improve financial insight, efficiency, and scalability through technology.

What you bring

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of progressive experience in senior technology or business‑technology leadership roles supporting finance or enterprise functions. Strong understanding of financial systems and processes, including ERP, financial consolidation, planning, and reporting platforms, without the need to be hands‑on. Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic and governance level, setting direction, making decisions, and holding teams and partners accountable for outcomes. Experience leading lean, senior teams, where influence, prioritization, and judgment matter more than scale. Proven ability to partner effectively with Finance leaders, balancing control, compliance, and business enablement. Solid understanding of enterprise technology dependencies, including infrastructure, security, data, and integration. Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear business impact. Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the United States, as required.

Bonus Points

Experience with JDE Finance, OneStream, or comparable ERP and financial performance management platforms. Exposure to multi‑entity, cross‑border, or complex financial environments. Experience overseeing major system implementations, upgrades, or long‑term platform roadmaps. We encourage applicants who meet most of the role requirements to hit that submit button and apply! It’s okay if you don’t have 100% of the requirements. If you’re the right candidate, we’ll help you learn and grow.
