Job Summary
As aPre-Owned Sales Consultantat Yorkdale Volkswagen, you will deliver an exceptional client experience while driving pre-owned vehicle sales, accessories, and related services. You will manage the full sales process from initial contact to vehicle delivery, build and maintain strong client relationships, and provide knowledgeable guidance on products and services. This role also includes following up with prospects, developing new business opportunities, maintaining accurate CRM records, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Qualify client needs and provide suitable pre-owned vehicle options.
- Meet and exceed unit sales and gross profit targets for pre-owned vehicles and related products/services.
- Manage the full sales process: greeting, qualifying, presenting vehicles, test drives, offers, closing, and follow-up.
- Provide accurate trade-in evaluations and ensure smooth vehicle delivery experiences.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, historical client data, and follow-up activity.
- Develop new business opportunities through personal marketing, networking, referrals, and dealership-generated leads.
- Stay current on product knowledge, inventory, market trends, and competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in brand-required training and continuous professional development.
- Support marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives to increase sales and profitability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)
- Previous experience in sales and/or customer service (automotive experience an asset)
- Valid OMVIC license or ability to obtain one
- Valid G-class Ontario driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Serti is an asset
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to dealership profitability
- Knowledge of vehicle features, options, and accessories (experience with Volkswagen/Acura is an asset)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and remain composed under pressure
- Team-oriented, quick thinker, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Hours
- Full-time, permanent position, up to 44 hours/week
- Typical schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Monday–Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Friday and Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
