About the role

BA - credit risk management, SQL Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — In office Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the first Friday of every month

Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension) Pay Rate: C$70.00–C$80.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday / Flexible

Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst will support key business initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to analyze requirements, facilitate discussions, and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic projects. This role requires an experienced professional who can work independently, engage with multiple stakeholder groups, and navigate complex organizational environments. The successful candidate will be expected to provide insights, support ongoing initiatives, and collaborate closely with business partners to ensure project objectives are achieved. Experience working within large enterprise organizations and managing competing priorities is essential. Previous exposure to technology-related projects and the ability to quickly adapt to evolving business needs will be considered strong assets.

Key Responsibilities Partner with stakeholders to analyze requirements and facilitate discussions in support of key business initiatives Contribute to the successful delivery of strategic projects within the credit risk management domain Work independently and engage with multiple stakeholder groups across complex organizational environments Provide insights and support ongoing initiatives to ensure project objectives are achieved Collaborate closely with business partners on a daily basis Manage competing priorities within a large enterprise organization Adapt quickly to evolving business needs Run SQL queries as part of technical investigative work when required Support the NRDC project (OSFI-988) as part of the BAM team

Required Skills Good credit risk management knowledge Understanding of credit risk data Good requirements gathering and documentation skills SQL skills 4–5 years of experience (required) Meticulous and detail-oriented Attention to detail Autonomous / self-directed; able to make decisions and thrive in ambiguous situations Works well in a team environment

Preferred Skills Previous experience at a financial institution (e.g., a major Canadian bank)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements Hybrid schedule: in-office on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and the first Friday of every month Collaborative team of approximately 20 people with an informal culture and strong internal support Daily interaction with internal stakeholders Overtime potential is unlikely
