The Senior Manager, Leadership Development leads the design, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of strategic leadership programs. This role collaborates with business partners and stakeholders to create innovative, effective, and scalable learning solutions that meet organizational goals and enhance overall performance.

The Senior Manager, Leadership Development collaborates with a variety of key stakeholders, leveraging design thinking tactics, innovative learning technologies and proven import processes to create engaging and accessible learning experiences. They lead the design, development and facilitation of leadership content for the enterprise. They will act as the lead facilitator for SSC leadership, orientation and onboarding programs, and are responsible to train and sustain flagship programs and workshops for Walmart Academy facilitators.

The position facilitates the discovery, planning, and deployment of learning programs, including sourcing and contracting external content providers. This includes developing communication and change management processes, in conjunction with relevant partners, to ensure successful program rollouts.

The role evaluates the quality and effectiveness of learning programs, content, and platforms, implementing measurement and evaluation strategies to gauge their impact. Feedback and diverse perspectives from stakeholders are solicited to inform program enhancements. The Senior Manager keeps abreast of industry best practices and continuously evolves the learning function to improve user experience and training effectiveness through modern tools and technologies.

Additionally, the Senior Manager, Learning and Development partners with global counterparts to leverage and share best practices. The role may also involve managing resources, budgets, and contracting requirements for enterprise learning initiatives. This position leads the learning transformation team and oversees the strategy development and execution for various learning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • In depth knowledge of and 5+ years of experience in instructional design principles and practices, adult learning principles, interactive learning design and blended learning techniques (classroom, e-learning, action learning, communities of practice, self-paced) especially as they relate to leadership and culture design and delivery.
  • Proficiency with authoring software such Articulate Storyline is preferred
  • Strong facilitative experience, especially in delivering Leadership content and programs.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and problem solving skills, including technical troubleshooting
  • Strong written, oral, and facilitation skills including knowledge of group dynamics
  • Self-starter and ability to take initiative to deliver results
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications, specifically Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills (internal and external)
  • Using social learning technology to augment learning ‘stickiness’
  • Adult Learning certification or degree is preferred
  • Certifications in recognized leadership development programs are an asset
  • Some travel in Canada and the US will be required in this role

The pay range for this position is $109 400,00 - $150 480,00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
