We are currently seeking aHuman Resources Managerto join our team inKamloops, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead HR at the business‑unit level with strong support from the broader HR team across The Crossing Group.
As the sole HR representative for the business unit, you’ll work closely with the President and our field operations teams to support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, payroll coordination, and basic employee relations. This is a great fit for someone who is detail‑oriented, approachable, and looking to grow into a more senior HR role over time.
Salary:****$75,000–$80,000annually
**Location:**Kamloops, BC (100% office‑based)
**Hours:**Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

####What you'll do:
Employee & Supervisor Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR questions.
- Provide guidance on policies, attendance, documentation, and general employee relations.
- Support a positive and professional workplace culture.
HR Systems & Administration
- Maintain accurate employee data inUKG,SharePoint,SiteDocsand other company software.
- Monitor HR workflows (including payroll‑related flows) and request updates when needed.
- Organize and maintain HR documents, training records, certificates, and files.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate posting, screening, and interview logistics.
- Prepare onboarding packages and ensure timely completion of documents.
- Support IUOE union registration for eligible new hires.
Scheduling, Training & Logistics
- Assist in field scheduling coordination.
- Arrange accommodations and maintain up‑to‑date records.
- Schedule drug and alcohol testing.
- Book required training and ensure completion tracking.
Payroll Support
- Verify timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor payroll workflows and escalate issues as necessary.
- Provide payroll updates and supporting documentation.
Labour Relations & Compliance
- Apply basic provisions of the IUOE collective agreement.
- Assist with documentation preparation for grievances.
- Maintain union‑related files and compliance documentation.
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate PPE distribution and HR‑related procurement.
- Provide general HR support for employees working on U.S. projects.
- Participate in HR initiatives, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
####What You Bring
-3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in construction or field operations.
- Experience inunionized environmentsis an asset.
- Working knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation.
- Proficiency withSharePoint/M365(required);UKGpreferred;SiteDocsan asset.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through.
- A calm, supportive approach when assisting supervisors and employees.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
