Position Overview

As a Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role within our team, working closely with construction and engineering operations to create detailed engineering and construction schedules. Your expertise will help drive the successful completion of projects by building and updating schedules as various milestones and project deliverables are achieved. You will be an essential point of contact, providing timely updates to key project team members on the progress of the projects and helping to ensure that timelines are met efficiently.

Location

This position will be based on our job site near the Union Station in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, contractors, and other project service personnel to deliver comprehensive planning and scheduling of projects from initial conceptual phases through engineering and construction execution.
  • Generate resource-loaded schedules that incorporate activities, milestones, approvals, procurement items, and critical project deliverables to ensure effective tracking of progress.
  • Develop and refine schedule logic, identify constraints, and calculate realistic durations based on available resources.
  • Evaluate the impact of design changes and schedule delays, communicating updates to company management and clients to maintain transparency and project alignment.
  • Utilize your extensive understanding of engineering and construction concepts to develop and sustain critical path logic networks while gathering historical data for future project forecasting.
  • Offer mentorship and specialized assistance in resolving complex project control problems, interface with clients, and provide insightful statistical reports during regular project meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction engineering technology, applicable codes and standards, and an understanding of the interplay between functional units.
  • Familiarity with various cost control methods across different project types (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, Time and Material, Maintenance).
  • Strong proficiency in project controls software, specifically Excel and Primavera.
  • A motivated individual with a proven track record of excellence, who thrives on taking initiative.
  • A commitment to ethical practices and safety as a core principle, ensuring a culture where everyone goes home safe.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • A dependable team player capable of working independently, effectively managing time, and meeting project deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards across all tasks.#L

Base Compensation: $99,000/yr - $104,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
