Facility Technician
About the role
Join our exclusive client, a global leader in food manufacturing as a Facility Technician and assist the Facility Engineer in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC and utility systems.
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Sterling Rd., Toronto ON
Rate: $35-40/hr
Shifts: Day, Afternoon (Flexibility)
Responsibilities:
- Replace air filters as per schedule and vacuum internal units
- Perform visual inspections on belts, bearings, filters, drains, control valves, coils, and potential leakages
- Adjust dampers and perform coil cleaning on AHU coils and grills
- Replace and align belts; replace bearings on AHU and circulation pumps
Motors and Pumps:
- Inspect and lubricate motors and pumps
- Replace mechanical seals as needed
- Perform maintenance tasks in both utility and facility areas including floor, roof, HVAC systems.
- Top-up glycol systems and assist in material handling
- Replace pumps, steam traps, pressure gauges, and related components
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with tools and instruments like velometers and manometers is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
