About the role
At IDM Youth Services (IDMYS) we believe that all people have the right to live in a safe, stable, supportive environment. This position will oversee our Supported Living program, which provides physical, emotional, vocational, recreational, social, and emotional support to young adults. The Residence Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the program and provides supervision and support to employees.

Compensation, hours and location:
The Residence Coordinator is Grid 14 - Compensation starts at $33.77 per hour for Residence Coordinator shifts and requires union membership (Any other shifts picked up will be paid out at the rate designated for the shift type).
This is a Part-Time Permanent position of 10 hours per week that will include at least one weekend day.
This position will support in the Westshore, Victoria, and Saanich**.**

What we are looking for:
- Passion for helping others, open-minded, adaptable.
- Proven leadership skills: the ability to support with orientation, training, supervision, and work direction.
- Experience in scheduling, budgeting, and case management.
- Excellent communicator who is understanding, patient and non-judgmental while providing exceptional care to our youth
- Computer literacy
- Preference Given to those who have:
- Experience working with at-risk youth and/or people who have a mental health diagnosis.
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care.
- Experience administering and documenting daily medications.
- Experience working with suicide prevention and self-harm behaviour.
- Education in a related field (education, psychology, child and youth care, counselling, health).
Qualification Requirements:

Diploma in a related human/social service field, three years recent related experience, and one-year minimum experience in a supervisory or administrative role. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Valid Driver's license - the equivalent of BC Class 5

Must be 19 years or older.

Must obtain and maintain screening through the MCFD and the Ministry of Justice.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Prior to confirmation of employment all applicants must complete screening through the Ministry of Justice and a Ministry Check. This requires applicants to provide police clearances from any country lived in outside of Canada for 6 or more month since turning 18. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to obtain, please ensure you prepare accordingly.
