Job Description The Stamford School Nursery are looking for an energetic Nursery Apprentice to help in our wonderful day nursery. This is a full time role that will include college day release for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner qualification.
At Stamford we have one simple and overriding aim. To create ‘rounded and grounded’ students. The Schools educate pupils across three sites: Stamford Junior School for children aged 2-11, Stamford School for students aged 11-16, and Stamford Sixth Form which teaches students aged 16-18. The nursery is a purpose built, modern private day nursery school set within the grounds of the Junior school and has access to a lot of their facilities, including outdoor play spaces.
Essential Criteria
- Basic standard of education.
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation stage.
- Demonstrate skills in communicating with both adults and children.
- Demonstrate the ability to produce high quality written communication.
- Ability to work with parents/carers/families to encourage partnership working.
- Desire to continue with professional development.
- Understanding of the practical application of equality and diversity relevant to the environment.
- Awareness of Health and Safety and practical hygiene issues and for these to be demonstrated in personal presentation and behaviour.
- Display a good standard of personal presentation.
- Ability, flexibility and willingness to take on other reasonable responsibilities as required.
Desired Criteria
- Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Level 4 in Maths and English.
- Experience of working with children in an Early Years setting.
- Possess a level of general digital literacy, with a range of IT skills.
