Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and customer service-oriented Health Club Attendant to join our team on a part-time basis.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for maintaining the Health Club, Ginger Juice Bar, Locker Rooms and back-of-house areas.
- Perform opening and closing duties of the Health Club, Pool and Ginger Juice Bar, per hotel policies.
- Interact with our guests and residents, answering questions regarding our fitness facilities, Orrin Spa or the hotel.
- Administrative duties in health club including: registration, inventories, processing orders etc.
- Regular tasks include: preparing headphones, folding towels, stocking cabanas and pool areas, organizing and disinfecting gym equipment, and ensuring the general cleanliness of the Health Club and Ginger Juice Bar areas.
- Ensure the Health Club and Locker Rooms are clean, organized and fully stocked with towels, literature and amenities.
- Monitor the Ginger Juice Bar, preparing beverages, maintaining inventory, general cleaning and service of food/beverage both poolside and within the Ginger Juice Bar.
- Enter food & beverage orders in the hotel’s POS System, process payments and deliver food & beverage orders.
- Replenish reception and fitness facility amenities including: water station, cool towels, magazines and fresh fruit, while following all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the Health Club area is clean and well-maintained and well-presented with amenities displayed to hotel standards.
- Ensure that any guest feedback or facility deficiencies are communicated to management in a timely fashion.
- Answer telephone and in-person inquiries.
- Take ownership for learning and following Health Club policies and procedures.
- Undertake other ad hoc work-related responsibilities as required

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years previous work experience in Housekeeping or Spa Attendant is preferred.
- Flexibility in schedule and availability on weekends & holidays is essential. Must be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Valid Serving It Right Certificate is required.
- Previous experience in luxury hotels or spas is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of general cleaning and sanitization protocol is required.
- Demonstrated understanding for luxury hotel standards of service is required.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
