Team Leader, Child and Youth Mental Health

$96,386.14 - $110,278.43 annually, which includes a 2 grid Temporary Market Adjustment

The dynamic South Peace CYMH team consists of one Team Leader with six (6) Clinicians in Dawson Creek and one Clinician based in Chetwynd. This team works closely with a contracted psychiatrist and is one of the recently announced Pathway to Hope locations. The team is excited to be working collaboratively to establish an Integrated Child and Youth team in partnership with the School District, Health Authority, Family Smart and local Indigenous communities.

This impactful role manages the local delivery of mental health services for children, youth, and families, and provides guidance, mentorship and clinical supervision to a dedicated and collaborative professional team. The CYMH Team Leader is part of a broader leadership network and has significant influence over the experience and outcome of services to vulnerable children, youth and families.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Master’s degree in social work (Clinical Specialty or equivalent training/education), educational counselling, clinical psychology, child and youth care, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Six (6) or more months of experience leading staff in a supervisory capacity.
  • Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
