About the role
Geomatics Technologist Integrated Geomatics Inc. (IGI) is a Calgary-based company providing survey, remote sensing, and environmental services throughout Western Canada. We are seeking a Geomatics Technologist to support the processing, analysis, and delivery of survey and design data for a variety of energy and infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with project managers and field teams to produce high-quality technical deliverables and maintain project standards.
Key Responsibilities Survey plan calculations and plan checking Data Processing & Analysis: Review and process survey field data to support project deliverables. Perform calculations for volumes, areas, and other survey-related outputs. Conduct quality control checks on data and project outputs. Design & Drafting: Create earthworks designs for pad sites, access roads, and related infrastructure. Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment on deliverables. Support multidisciplinary teams with technical geomatics expertise.
Qualifications This position is being recruited at a senior level, with compensation aligned to experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated capability. Diploma in geomatics, GIS technology, or a related field. Experience working with survey field data and geomatics workflows. Proficiency with industry software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Global Mapper, or MicroSurvey. Strong understanding of industry standards and procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
