Manager, Human Resources People, Safety & Culture

As part of a professional team dedicated to service excellence, this exciting local government position provides hands-on expert human resource services and leadership for our award winning organization within our People, Safety & Culture (PS&C) team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of People, Safety & Culture, and working closely with a broad team of highly engaged and professional staff, the Manager of Human Resources (HR) role combines operational HR leadership with strategic vision, driving innovative initiatives and fostering a high-performance work environment. Working collaboratively, the Manager builds strong relationships within a client portfolio model, providing expert guidance and integrated support on a broad range of people and culture/human resource matters to address organizational and departmental needs.

The Manager also leads, oversees and participates in multifaceted HR projects, programs and strategies aligned with the PSC Strategic Plan and broader CRD corporate plans.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a Degree in a related field and significant relevant professional HR experience in a unionized environment. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or related designation is an asset. A full detail of requirements is posted in the role profile on the CRD website.

Salary for this position is currently $123,290 - $145,047 (2024 rates, with 2025/2026 adjustments pending), plus an exceptional and comprehensive benefits package including participation in the municipal pension plan.
