Certified Arborist Compensation:

• $34 - $38/hour base hourly wage for 40 hours per week
• Performance-based incentive program on top of your hourly wage. The more productive you and your crew are, the more money you make. This could take your effective hourly wage into the $45+/hour range. In fact, most of our foreman are in the $45-$50/hour range on an all-in basis. Some days are well in excess of that - its up to you and your crew's performance!

• Advancement within Beswick: we are always looking to develop our tree care professionals into something more and equip them with the necessary skills to advance within the industry. As a Foreman/Crew Leader, this could include advancing to a Consulting Arborist or a Sales Estimator.
• Equipment allowance

Duties:

• Pass the necessary knowledge and skills of the arboriculture trade down to your Second Climber and Ground Technician
• Buy into our culture of equipment maintenance. These are our everyday tools that we use to perform a skilled trade.
• Provide regular updates to the arborist estimators on job statuses and how your day is progressing
• Safely and responsibly operate and maintain all equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, skid steers, trucks, trailers
• Pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood
• Participate in our bi-weekly safety and training sessions and live training sessions as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bucket and bucket truck operating experience
• 3+ years of full-time climbing experience would be considered an asset
• Certified Arborist (444A/B or ISA Certification) preferred but not necessary
• Strong communicator and a team player with a good attitude. Being hungry, humble and having a willingness to learn are the things we care most about at Beswick.
• A valid DZ/AZ license and your own means of transportation are required. Our yard is located off of Highway 5 in Dundas.
