Position Overview:

The Copywriter will develop clear, compelling written content that supports brand growth, product education, and customer engagement within the drone operations industry. This role involves collaborating with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and industry-aligned messaging. All work must adhere to Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Canadian labour law guidelines for workplace expectations, equity, and communication standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Write, edit, and proofread copy for digital platforms, product descriptions, marketing campaigns, training materials, social media, and internal communications. Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical drone-operation concepts into accessible, user-friendly content. Ensure all written materials reflect brand voice, accuracy, and regulatory compliance specific to unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in Canada. Develop content that supports sales enablement, client acquisition, and public-facing communications. Participate in campaign planning and provide creative input based on industry trends. Maintain documentation and version control in accordance with organizational standards. Follow internal communication policies and contribute to an inclusive, respectful workplace aligned with ESA and Canadian human rights legislation.

Qualifications: Only candidates with portfolio links in their resumes will be considered

Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field. 2+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within technology, aviation, robotics, or related sectors. Portfolio of writing samples for B2B (B2C or journalism work will be in consideration). Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO best practices, and content strategy. Ability to translate technical drone-related information into engaging, audience-appropriate language. Excellent grammar, editing skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
