About Western

Since 1878, Western University has been committed to serving our communities through the pursuit of academic excellence and by providing students, faculty, and community members with life-long opportunities for intellectual, social, and cultural growth. We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference.

About Us

The Office of the Registrar is dedicated to helping our students achieve their academic goals by providing to the Western community an array of integrated student-related services in a confidential and professional environment.

The Registrar Information Technology Solutions Group (RITS) supports Western’s academic operations, which generate ~88% of the university’s $700M operating budget, by providing innovative technological solutions and critical data to advance student enrolment, progression, and success. Supporting units such as the Office of the Registrar, Vice-Provost Academic, Indigenous Initiatives, Western International, EDI, and Continuing Studies, the RITS team is organized into three pillars—Web & IT, Peoplesoft, and Salesforce. Together, they deliver systems and tools across multiple platforms that improve efficiency for staff and enhance the student experience from recruitment through graduation. This unit is responsible for maintaining a technological infrastructure that remains at the forefront of innovations in Canadian student administration.
