We are seeking a talented individual to join our OSS (Operations Support System) team as a Software Developer.
If you enjoy working in a collaborative atmosphere and building innovative solutions with the “breadth and depth” across software, network, and systems we are interested in meeting you.
You will be supporting, designing, and building solutions that will automate and interact with our network technologies for our Business Product and Network teams.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Orchestration and Automation in our OSS department where you will grow with our talented development teams.
A typical day will start with a ceremonial agile standup with the team and then break out into collaborative or independent work consisting of planning, development, problem solving or learning.
What you will be doing:
- Design and develop software solutions to streamline our business processes.
- Work with vendors to enhance the architecture of our products
- Work in a fast-paced environment on a smaller team where you will collaborate with teams across the company.
- Listen to the customer to identify issues and build requirements.
- Review the deployments and challenge the changes to enforce the quality and security of all automations.
- Work with the team to develop, support and drive projects through to completion.
What you bring:
- Software development experience (Java and/or Python are preferred)
- Experience in modelling objects, configuration, etc. using standards like YAML, JSON, XML, etc.
- Experience using development tools such as Jira, Git, , Maven or others
- Experience in CI/CD methodologies and tools like Jenkins, Tekton pipelines or similar
- Infrastructure as Code technologies like virtualization, containers/Kubernetes and networking
- Passion and great communication skills for working in a collaborative environment with the team and our stakeholders
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
