Role Overview The Human Resources (HR) Manager will play a key role in shaping the employee experience at the Canadian head office in Toronto. Acting as the primary HR leader on-site, this role partners closely with the global HR team to drive initiatives in recruitment, career development, performance management, and compliance. Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Lead full-cycle recruitment for Canadian operations, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.

Collaborate with managers to anticipate workforce needs and maintain a proactive talent pipeline.

Strengthen employer branding to attract top talent in the industry.

Career Development & Performance Programs

Design and implement career growth initiatives across all divisions.

Support performance management programs in alignment with global HR standards.

Coach managers and employees on career planning and development.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable culture.

Lead communication and engagement programs that strengthen employee connection.

HR Operations & Compliance
-
Oversee employment contracts, attendance programs, and vacation tracking in partnership with the global HR team.

Ensure compliance with Canadian employment standards and health & safety requirements.

Maintain up-to-date policies, accurate employee records, and HR documentation.

Shared Services & Coordination
-
Partner with payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Support HR process documentation and accessibility via internal systems.

Collaborate with safety and shared services teams locally and internationally to align HR and business practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline (professional HR designation preferred: CHRP/CHRL.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and compliance in Ontario.
- Proven experience designing career development or performance management programs.
- Strong understanding of Ontario labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Independent, resourceful, and highly collaborative with the ability to work across global teams.
