About the role

Job Description The Opportunity The Technology Lead, FASTech is a hands-on delivery role responsible for building, configuring, testing, and deploying small-scope, high-impact solutions delivered through Chartwell’s FASTech rapid-delivery model. Working in four- to eight-week Agile increments, the Technology Lead partners with business stakeholders, Business Systems Analysts, and project-based resources (professional services and/or internal secondments) to implement workflow modernization, automation, and practical AI-enabled enhancements.

This role requires strong technical fluency, disciplined documentation, and the ability to translate business needs into working solutions that can be adopted consistently across Chartwell’s decentralized, multi-location environment.

Key Accountabilities Hands-on Delivery (Build / Configure / Test / Deploy)

  • Implement solutions end-to-end, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and early-life support.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows and integrations using appropriate platforms (e.g., Power Platform, ServiceNow workflows, UiPath, APIs/connectors) as directed by the project scope.
  • Create reusable components, templates, and patterns to accelerate delivery across similar initiatives.

Requirements-to-Solution Translation

  • Work with Business Systems Analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify practical constraints.
  • Contribute to solution design documents and process flows that are clear, auditable, and implementable across multiple sites.
  • Support trade-off discussions (speed vs complexity vs risk) to ensure deliverable scope within the FASTech cadence.

Quality, Documentation & Change Readiness

  • Produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration notes to support supportability and auditability.
  • Support UAT planning and execution; ensure defects are triaged and resolved within the delivery window.
  • Assist with change communications and training materials to enable adoption at residence and corporate levels.

Operational & Security Alignment

  • Follow Chartwell change management, security, and documentation standards; ensure solutions are supportable and safe.
  • Partner with Service Management & Automation (ServiceNow/UiPath) team where work overlaps platform standards or operational processes.

Qualifications Education:

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform, ServiceNow, UiPath) are an asset.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience delivering hands-on technology solutions (configuration, workflow automation, integrations, and/or low-code development).
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of: Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, UiPath, and/or related automation and workflow tools.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments with short delivery cycles and iterative feedback.
  • Exposure to enterprise applications (ERP, HCM, CMMS) and integration patterns is an asset.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate requirements into implementable solutions.
  • Clear written communication and documentation discipline; able to produce runbooks and solution notes.
  • Comfort working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams; able to manage ambiguity and prioritize deliverables.
  • Pragmatic risk awareness (privacy/security/change control) while maintaining delivery momentum.

Effort

  • Work requires sustained mental effort to troubleshoot, design, and implement solutions under short delivery timelines. Physical effort is primarily computer work and meetings.

Working Conditions

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment with hybrid work flexibility. Occasional non-standard hours may be required during key releases or implementations.
