Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led, inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, executives & professionals, adults and young adults. Located in North Saanich on 28 acres of forested hillside, Homewood Ravensview offers clients a comfortable and safe environment featuring serene ocean views from spacious rooms, welcoming common areas and a world-class team of physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors and 24-hour nursing professionals.

Hours of work: This is a full-time position requiring varied work hours Monday through Friday.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervise and support housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards in cleaning, sanitation, infection control and safety.
  • Plan and oversee annual deep-cleaning schedules and seasonal cleaning projects
  • Organize department schedules to meet facility needs and maintain optimal staffing levels
  • Monitor performance, conduct evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and training
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, security and privacy policies, promptly addressing any violations
  • Perform and oversee cleaning of rooms, common areas, restrooms, kitchens and specialized spaces, following established hygiene protocols.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; manage supply inventory and restocking
  • Handle laundry, waste disposal and organization of storage areas
  • Report maintenance needs and safety hazards promptly
  • Assist with heavy cleaning tasks and furniture moves when required
  • Protect confidential client information and report unusual conditions

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience supervising and directing staff in a similar role
  • Strong, motivational leadership skills
  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices within a hospital/clinical setting; experience in a hospital, hotel or institutional environment is an asset
  • Infection prevention and control training preferred
  • Ability to effectively determine priorities with a fluctuating workload
  • Proven customer service and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Champion for workplace safety
  • Able to work all shifts, including weekdays, weekends and afternoon shifts as scheduled
  • Physically able to perform all aspects of the job including lifting up to 30lbs, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching and various repetitive movements

You will need access to your own transportation as Ravensview is not accessible by public transit.

Homewood Health promotes a fair and competitive compensation model. Pay rates are tailored to reflect differences in operating environments and job requirements. Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function, organizational tenure, experience, qualifications or premium skills, external competitiveness, internal comparability, geography and work performance. Pay range for this position is $ $30-$33/hourly.
