About the role

(Temporary contract – 12 months) Full-time, 35 hours/ week, Hybrid

Location: Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton or Hamiton

Salary Grade: 14 ($87,992- $109,990)

Are you a tech-savvy professional passionate about enhancing customer experiences and optimizing operational processes? The Specialist, Key Accounts will support the delivery of advanced solutions for industrial, municipal, and commercial accounts. This role leverages technology and innovation to enhance customer experience, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement in key account management. You will perform analysis and trending for KPI performance while making ongoing improvements to optimize efficiencies. Additionally, you will provide ongoing reporting and analytical activities to support large user forecasting and actuals.

What You’ll Do Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes based on best practices.
  • Develop business cases and requirements for deploying intelligent automation tools.
  • Support the deployment of intelligent automation tools, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Undertake quality assurance activities to baseline key performance indicators (KPIs) resulting from automation tool implementation.

Data Analysis and Strategic Support

  • Extract and prepare usage data, load profiles, and KPI dashboards, while staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes to inform strategic planning.
  • Support Class A/ICI data trending for readiness, enrollment checks, and peak trends to derive efficiencies and insights for future local programs.
  • Provide analytics and trending support for Save on Energy/eDSM programs to influence customer experience strategy.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Support CRM inputs and build key account insights to inform targeted outreach strategies.
  • Serve as a business lead for the CRM workstream, participating in UAT and training to ensure key account needs are met.
  • Establish data governance routines, including naming standards, key fields, and account hierarchies for multi-site or mid-market customers, and monitor dashboard quality metrics.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in special assignments and projects, both cross-functional and departmental.
  • Provide support to the Supervisor and Manager and perform other duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and standards.

Who You Are Education & Technical Knowledge

  • Post-secondary education preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • C. Tech. or Technologist certificate, CET designation, or CET eligibility is an asset.
  • Familiarity with CRM or intelligent automation tools and their applications.
  • Familiarity with utility meter-to-cash processes and their applications.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a utility environment is considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer service environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience in project management and process optimization is considered an asset.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Advanced skills in computer software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power BI).
  • Experience with data analytics, financial/statistical modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or implementation projects.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid class "G" driver's license.

  • At Alectra, Compensation for non-union positions is determined within a defined salary range for each role. Placement within the salary range depends on several factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
