Healthcare Operations Dispatch - Shift Lead

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategically identify open shifts/ open lines and work with the Operations Team to ensure complete schedules to adhere to our contractual obligations
  • Regular Healthcare Operations Centre Dispatcher duties
  • Work within a dynamic team environment with multiple operational stakeholders including, Protective Services Control Centre, Site Supervisors, Security Officers, Client Service Managers, and Senior Management
  • Fill cancellations and openings in the daily schedule
  • Work to develop knowledge of Paladin's contractual obligations for the Portfolio that you are assigned to
  • Support and process Hotel Bookings and updating the hotel booking calendar
  • Ensure billing accuracy and compliance on a weekly basis
  • Work with Paladin's TEAM software to ensure accurate and timely scheduling, billing, and payroll, including reviewing rosters sent in from sites, coding missed coverage
  • Assisting in the training of new Healthcare Operations Centre Dispatchers
  • Respond to emails within a timely manner
  • Leading Operations Centre if supervisor is absent
    • Ensuring daily call out expectations are being met
    • Encourage positivity inside Operations Centre
    • Ensuring that the supervisor and manager are emailed regarding any incidents that may have occurred during shift.
  • Perform other duties as required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Healthcare Operations Centre experience
  • Must possess a High school Diploma, Post-Secondary education is an asset
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset
  • The ability to use judgement and decision-making skills to evaluate situations and establish priorities
  • Must have an outgoing, friendly, and extroverted personality
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce
  • Strong computer skills; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to learn quickly and navigate through new software is an asset
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong time management, multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented, team player, self-motivated, and able to take direction
