About the role
Calian / Deloitte is a third‑party service provider contracted by the Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Group (CFRG) to provide information and candidate sourcing support for CAF career opportunities and entry programs.
As an external contractor for the CAF, we are actively looking for students to join the Canadian Armed Forces as a Electrical Distribution Technician under The Non-Commissioned Member Subsidized Training and Education Plan (NCMSTEP) Program.
The NCMSTEP offers full-time paid training or education at Canadian colleges, universities and other postsecondary establishments for authorized courses of study related to military occupations.
If you qualify, the CAF will pay 100% of your school fees, including your tuition, books and academic equipment. Meanwhile, you’ll earn a competitive annual salary and an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision care and much more.
Overview As a member of the military, Electrical Distribution Technicians provide electrical engineering support to operational units at home and abroad.
The Electrical Distribution Technician job is one of seven Construction Engineering positions that provide all construction, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering services to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) operations.
Responsibilities Install, repair and maintain high and low voltage electrical distribution systems, portable and fixed airfield lighting systems, fire alarm and security systems Produce associated electrical designs and specifications and drawings Conduct reconnaissance related to the above, and assist other Construction Engineering tradespersons
Qualifications & Requirements To apply, candidates must have either recently accepted an offer, or have at least 1 semester remaining, of one of the following university/college programs funded by NCMSTEP:
