Instructor, Nursing BN Program (Term Part-Time)

POSITION TYPE: Multiple Part-Time, Term Positions Available (anticipated November 17, 2025 up to March 6, 2026)
SALARY: $33.62 - $51.43 hourly
- The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Red River College Polytechnic requires instructors for the Nursing BN program with clinical practice experience in the areas of maternity, subacute and acute Medicine or Surgery. The instructors will deliver both the theoretical and practical aspects of the BN program. Duties include but are not limited to delivery, conducting student assessments, performing lab and/or clinical supervision and evaluation of students, maintaining lab and classroom equipment, and performing related administrative responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Nursing, a combination of Nursing Diploma and equivalent work experience may be considered
- Several years of recent clinical practice experience in the areas of maternity, subacute or acute Medicine or Surgery
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
- Ability to carry out formative and summative assessments
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Effective leadership skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including on-line
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- Incumbent must hold a valid College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Certificate
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Incumbent must be physically capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. A medical certificate from a certified physician will be required.
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
