About the role
We are seeking a Group Retirement Support Coordinator to join our Indigenous Solutions team in Winnipeg or Burlington. The Group Retirement Support Coordinator will be the administrative support “go-to” person for all pension clients and will support our pension consultants, service representatives, and service coordinators with our Partner Firm Life Benefit Solutions regarding pension related questions and enquiries.

The Group Retirement Support Coordinator will:
- Support amendments to existing pension plan client provisions, plan pricing and facilitating application procedures as part of the new plan implementation process communicating directly with the client to gather information required for filing deadlines.
- Prepare supporting member communication relating the pension plan
- Administratively facilitate plan amendments, plan terminations, legislative updates with respective regulators (OSFI or provincial bodies) using a project management approach
- With the pension consultant, coordinate enrolment guides and member booklets, and work with the assigned service representative to ensure seamless implementation of new plans
- Support the Pension Consultant administratively to ensure plans are compliant with Capital Accumulation Guidelines (CAP)
- Complete annual reviews for all pension clients ensuring they are delivered to in a timely manner. This includes managing timelines, data entry, generating the reports, and quality checking for accuracy
- Maintaining databases of clients’ plan provisions
- Support clients with their Annual Information Return filing and periodic reporting such as Form 7s and Summary of Contributions;
- Track the status of all pension related work: amendments, new plan setups, and administrative-related issues.
- Facilitate a weekly meeting with the Pension Consultant to provide updates on all on going projects/work
- Support the new business process with preparing Requests for Quotes and managing data entry based on responses from carriers. Once analysis is completed, responsible for creating the client presentation
To be Successful as a Group Retirement Support Coordinator with Life Benefit Solutions you will need :

- Experience in Group Retirement an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of clients
- Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- To be a proactive self-starter with a positive attitude
- Team engagement and responsiveness with our clients and partners
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
