GIRO is seeking a strategic business development leader to help shape the future of public transit by identifying new market opportunities, fostering long-term relationships with transit agencies, and influencing the evolution of our solutions. Success in this role is not measured by short-term revenue generation. Our customers are primarily public transit agencies and government organizations, where procurement and decision-making cycles often span multiple years. As a result, the focus is on building strategic relationships, developing market understanding, creating opportunities, and advancing long-term growth initiatives. This position will play a critical role in strengthening GIRO's leadership position in paratransit while accelerating our growth in emerging mobility markets, including on-demand transportation services. Working closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales, the successful candidate will help define market strategies, influence product direction, and identify new opportunities where the path to commercialization is not always clearly established. We are looking for a creative and strategic thinker with strong industry expertise who enjoys tackling complex challenges, creating new opportunities, and helping organizations solve meaningful transportation problems. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute growth strategies for GIRO’s paratransit and fixed route public transit. Build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders, industry partners, and key customers. Identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities, creating a strong pipeline of strategic prospects. Define and communicate product positioning, market strategy, and value propositions in collaboration with Product Management and Marketing. Represent GIRO at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to strengthen market presence and brand recognition. Support sales pursuits through customer discovery, strategic account planning, proposal development, and executive presentations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or a related client-facing role. Deep knowledge of the paratransit or fixed route public transit, including operational challenges, market trends, and key stakeholders. Proven ability to build relationships and influence executive-level decision-makers. Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions and business value. READY TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE WITH US?
