We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Municipal and Transportation Design team in our Burlington or Mississauga, ON offices. Working closely with senior engineers and the design team, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills and project coordination experience to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in a dynamic team environment.
Our hybrid work model can accommodate flexible work hours, and the position can be based out of our Burlington or Mississauga office.
Job Responsibilities

Support the delivery of transportation projects on local, collector, and arterial roads for various municipal clients throughout Ontario, including assisting with schedules, budgets, and quality control processes

Prepare detailed engineering designs and contract documents for urban and rural road construction and reconstruction projects

Assist with the design of municipal infrastructure including roadworks, watermains, storm and sanitary sewers, and related components
-
Coordinate with internal team members, external consultants, and clients to support project delivery and resolve design challenges

Participate in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and tender documents
-
Provide support during tendering and construction phases, including responding to contractor inquiries and reviewing shop drawings
-
Liaise with municipalities and regulatory authorities to support the permit and approval process
-
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support the development of junior staff when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Approximately 5 years of experience in transportation or municipal road design, preferably in Ontario
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and contract documents for municipal infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of municipal design standards and applicable regulations in Ontario
- Progress toward P.Eng. (or recently licensed as a P.Eng.) in Ontario is considered an asset
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (experience with MS Project is an asset)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
