We’re growing and are seeking a motivated Associate Financial Advisor who is passionate about helping clients plan for their future through Life Insurance, Investments, and Wealth Planning.
Position Overview
As an Associate Financial Advisor, you will work closely with the Agency Owner and senior advisors to build client relationships, conduct financial needs analyses, and recommend insurance and investment solutions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and a desire to grow within the financial services industry. This position provides a base salary, bonus opportunities, health benefits, retirement plan and a clear pathway to a full Financial Advisor role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial reviews and recommend appropriate life, wealth, and investment solutions.
- Support the Agency in achieving life and wealth production targets.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with Co-operators, FSRA, and MFDA/CIRO standards.
- Participate in client meetings, events, and community engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team on marketing, lead generation, and follow-up strategies.
- Provide outstanding client care, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Manage and update client files in Salesforce and other internal systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Licensing
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- LLQP and Mutual Fund Licenses (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months).
- Must maintain good standing with all regulatory bodies.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, insurance, or investment advisory roles preferred (willing to train high-potential candidates).
- Experience with client relationship management, sales, or financial planning considered an asset.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with high ethical standards.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or CRM software), and virtual meeting tools.
Other Requirements
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal Background Check and Consumer Credit Check.
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
