About the role

We are looking for a native Canadian French speaking Medical Translator to join us on a part-time, freelance basis for up to 16 hours per month. This is a fully remote position based in Canada but our preference is for applicants located in the Eastern or Atlantic Timezone.

What you'll do

  • English to Canadian French translation of medical and other relevant content across Ada's products, including the consumer app and client-facing services.
  • Support with Canadian French speaking partner requests.
  • Support the localization team in Marketing with translation for UX copy for Ada's client and user-facing products, including our app.
  • Utliize our in-house tools to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Medical approbation or a license to practice medicine in the country of study (or you could be a student currently enrolled in a medical course at university).
  • A native-level fluency in Canadian French AND a professional fluency in English.
  • Good command of Canadian French grammar and complex vocabulary.
  • Excellent time management skills, excellent communication and the ability to to work to deadlines within a cross functional environment.
  • Good level of computer literacy (Windows, Google Sheets, OS X, MS-Office, etc.) and software understanding.
  • Previous medical translation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Previous experience of working in a corporate environment would be ideal but again, is not essential.
