We’re looking for an Animator to help drive the modernization of a high-profile real-time strategy game. You’ll join a small, fast-moving team working on a beloved RTS IP, and your focus will be on character and building animations (with an eye for matching and improving upon the quality of the original title) and contributing towards a clean and scalable animation/content pipeline.
We support remote, in-studio (Vancouver, BC), and hybrid working arrangements across Canada. You’ll be joining a flexible, forward-thinking studio environment where creative voices are valued and nurtured.
Responsibilities
- Animate a broad range of Character and Building Units, matching and improving upon the benchmark of the original title.
- Collaborate with animators and tech animations to define and refine the pipeline.
- Work with the art team and designers to ensure animation integrates cleanly into the game engine, supports gameplay systems and meets performance goals.
- Maintain a productive and collaborative work environment with the development team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in animation for games.
- Strong knowledge of 3D Game Development Software for animation.
- Demonstrated experience or skillset animating for RTS and games with an isometric camera setup.
- Comfort working in Perforce-integrated pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

- Familiarity with game-ready skeleton design, skinning, and animation scene structure
