Responsibilities

Tasks

Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts Keep maintenance reports and documentation Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work Service attachments and working tools Perform other routine maintenance Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools Replace faulty components Replace oil, air and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment Replace parts as required Remove and replace defective parts Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams Perform preventive maintenance Clean and lubricate cranes Follow-up on issues with work orders Follow directions and read map Inspect products and processing methods; prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health, quality and safety are followed Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
