Overview
Reporting directly to the Manager, Finance & Corporate Services, the Finance Clerk provides accounting and administrative support to the Corporate Finance team, with a primary focus on accounts payable operations. This role is responsible for processing high volumes of financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service skills.
Please note: This position does not meet the practical experience requirements for the CPA designation.

Key Accountabilities
Maintain compliance with internal controls and established accounts payable processes. Monitor the accounts payable inbox and route invoices to the appropriate approvers in a timely manner. Process and enter invoices, cheque requisitions, accruals, journal entries, and other financial transactions into the financial management system. Assist with cheque runs and payment processing activities. Review monthly employee credit card submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate policies. Assist with month-end and year-end procedures, including preparing supporting documentation and maintaining accurate financial records. Coordinate with the Procurement team to establish and maintain supplier records, purchase orders, and contracts within the financial management system. Compile financial information and provide support for reporting, audits, and ad hoc analysis requests. Respond to inquiries from suppliers, contractors, auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding invoices, payments, and other finance-related matters. Perform data entry and provide administrative support to the Corporate Finance team, including special projects, timesheet management and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and processing. A combination of post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and accounting/accounts payable experience totalling approximately 1 to 3 years.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with and organizing large datasets. Experience using ERP systems for financial transaction processing (e.g., Oracle Fusion or Oracle EBS). Experience working in a high-volume accounts payable or bookkeeping environment.
Additional Requirement
You must be legally authorized to work in Canada. An offer of employment is conditional upon the completion of an acceptable current criminal record check.
