About the role

This position assists in Learning and Development, Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and Talent Acquisition department initiatives.

This positions main responsibilities are assisting in building, monitoring, maintaining and supporting processes in SIGA's human resources department. This position is responsible for learning SIGA's Human Resources policies and procedures. This position has a focus on following provincial and federal employment law and using legislation to ensure quality and compliance within SIGA human resources. There is a focus on review and monitoring of SIGA Human Resources best practices and researching improvement strategies when required. In turn, this position participates in the quality assurance of HR metrics and reporting. This position supports the development of, and assisting in, the implementation of HR initiatives at SIGA and its casinos. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is strictly for a new or recent graduate (graduated from a Canadian Institution). Applicants must have obtained a diploma, advanced diploma, degree, applied degree, or masters, by a recognized or authorized post-secondary institution completed between April 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025. Education completed with a specialization in Human Resources is an asset. One year of experience in a research environment, office administration or human resources department would be considered. Demonstrates proficiency with computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new programs as required. Experience working with diverse situations and personalities. Desire to learn and grow. Motivated by new challenges, resilient with ability to adapt quickly to change.
