Business Development Representative – AI & Automation (Pipeline Generation)

About the role
The Mission
At eligeo.ai, we don’t just sell tools; we re-engineer how companies operate. Our Business Process Consultants sit across the table from CEOs and COOs and rebuild how their businesses run using monday.com, Make.com, and Agentic AI. They can only do that if the right conversations are already on the calendar. That is your mission. As a Business Development Representative, you own the top of the funnel: finding operators who are drowning in manual work, starting a credible conversation about it, and handing our consultants an opportunity that is qualified and ready to move. You are not a dialer with a script. You are the first person a prospect meets, and the quality of your thinking is the first proof that eligeo.ai is worth their time.
Your Role in the Ecosystem
You are the engine that keeps the consulting bench full. The Prospector: You build and work targeted account lists in our core verticals, using research and buying signals rather than volume alone. The Translator: You turn a vague symptom — “our project handoffs are a mess” — into a specific, named operational problem the prospect recognizes immediately. The Pipeline Engine: You qualify hard, protect the consultants’ time, and hand off opportunities with enough context that discovery starts at depth, not at zero.
Key Responsibilities
1.Outbound Prospecting Build and maintain target account lists across construction, manufacturing, field operations, and supply chain. Run multi-channel outbound sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn) built around industry-specific operational pain, not product features. Use trigger events — funding, expansion, new operations leadership, system or ERP changes, hiring patterns — to time outreach. 2.Qualification & Discovery Run first-call conversations that surface where manual work, rework, and process leakage are costing the business real money. Qualify against fit, urgency, authority, and readiness for a multi-stage automation journey — and disqualify quickly and honestly when the fit isn’t there. Position our paid entry offers, the Process Audit and the Process Architecture, as the natural first step for prospects who need proof before they commit. 3.Handoff & Consultant Partnership Deliver every booked meeting with a written brief: the pain identified, the stakeholders involved, the systems in play, and why now. Partner with the Business Process Consultants on account strategy, and stay looped in through the early stages of the deal so you learn what actually converts. Feed what you hear in the market back to Marketing so our messaging keeps sharpening. 4.Inbound & Campaign Response Be first to every inbound lead, webinar registrant, and content download — with a response time measured in minutes, not days. Re-engage dormant and closed-lost accounts where the circumstances have changed. 5.CRM Discipline Maintain accurate, current activity and pipeline data in HubSpot. If it isn’t in the CRM, it didn’t happen. Report honestly on what is working and what isn’t, and adjust your approach based on the numbers. Make 50+ professional calls daily and provide detailed, high-quality notes to ensure the sales team is fully briefed for every handoff.
Required Qualifications
1–3 Years of Outbound Experience: A track record in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role within B2B SaaS, professional services, or technology consulting. Consultative Instinct: You ask better questions than the average rep. You are comfortable talking about how a business runs, not just about what a product does. AI & Automation Literacy: You understand at a working level what an AI agent is and why it differs from a simple automation — and you can explain that in plain language to a non-technical operations leader. Written Fluency: You can write a five-sentence email that a busy executive actually answers. CRM Fluency: Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, plus modern prospecting and sequencing tools. Resilience & Self-Direction: You work remotely, you manage your own day, and rejection does not slow you down. High attention to detail and accountability in documentation, reporting, and follow-through. Bonus Points: Exposure to monday.com or Make.com; experience selling into construction, manufacturing, or field services; familiarity with the Canadian and US mid-market.
What Success Looks Like
Qualified Meetings Booked: A consistent, predictable volume of consultant-ready meetings each month with in-profile accounts. Meeting-to-Opportunity Conversion: The meetings you book turn into real opportunities, because you qualified them properly in the first place. Sourced Pipeline: A measurable dollar value of pipeline attributable to your outbound effort each quarter. Speed to Lead: Inbound leads contacted within minutes of arriving, every time. ICP Accuracy: Consultants rarely walk into a meeting and discover the prospect was never a fit. Market Intelligence: Your notes and observations directly shape how we message to each vertical. Your Own Next Step: Our strongest BDRs grow into Business Process Consultant and Account Executive roles. This is a launchpad, and we will build the ramp with you.
Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 base + commission (OTE $85,000–$100,000) + benefits
