As an important part of meeting this growing demand, an Inside Sales role will assume responsibility for managing and growing their assigned accounts. Representative works directly with outside sales and customers to provide Vertiv proposals, follow up on prospect inquiries, and upselling. Role is responsible for the promotion and sales of Vertiv’s current AC Power offerings to customers through building relationships and generating new business. The Inside Sales position offers a generous commission structure as well as much exposure to the business, providing the potential for many outlets of career growth at Vertiv.
Responsibilities:
- Meet established revenue target within assigned accounts through follow-up.
- Creates and tracks Customer Relationship Management (CRM) opportunities & quotes.
- Responsible for updating opportunities and customer information in the CRM tool including win/loss/cancellations.
- Secure customer orders and enter orders correctly for invoicing.
- Provides Inbound & Outbound customer communications (calls and e-mails) and escalates to others for technical support as needed.
- Increase customer satisfaction by serving as a customer advocate to interact with various internal departments on behalf of the customer.
- Establish working knowledge of related product lines, both new and existing, by completing company training and on the job experience.
- Provide technical pre & post sales support between Vertiv and Customers.
- Collaborate closely with Vertiv field sales teams on shared opportunities; Identifying opportunities as they arise.
- Review or generate optimized Vertiv solution configurations to meet specific application requirements.
- Configure, Price, Quote solutions to customers.
- Provide submittal drawings for approval.
- Provide technical sales support to Customers through training and presentations.
- Serve as an escalation point for Customers on technical pre & post sales questions.
- Offer applications engineering support via phone, email, and web.
- Willingness to pivot to other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering Degree (preferred) or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in industry technical sales.
- Strong phone / video presence and experience in multiple interactions per day
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Periods working at desk/computer
Time Travel Required:
- Occasional travel to customer site or corporate training
