This role drives organic growth for Walmart.ca by leading the SEO strategy for content and scaling hyper-local search visibility for Walmart CA’s store locations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to execute data-driven roadmaps and seasonal campaigns that maximize organic rankings, traffic and GMV in the Canadian market.

This role is accountable for the organic performance of Walmart.ca’s core eCommerce funnel, including all category-level and product-level traffic as well as overall visibility on local searches.

Working with agency and product leads, you will ensure Walmart has the proper content strategy and local setup for maximum visibility, traffic and GMV generation.

Managing SEO and campaign planning at a priority category level (e.g., Grocery, Electronics…etc.), you will drive focus on high-conversion keywords and seasonal retail events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day. You will define the content strategy for PLPs and PDPs—ensuring titles, descriptions, content and attributes are optimized for both search bots and customer conversion. The role oversees vendor relationships with agencies and SEO tool providers, managing the high-volume production of optimized copy while ensuring budget and workflow efficiencies.

Setting the standard for eCommerce SEO, you will drive training and guidelines for the Merchant, Digital Experience and Marketing teams on effective on-page optimization and content best practices.

You will also lead the Local SEO strategy, ensuring every Walmart Canada store location and department is optimized for local searches and that Google Business Profiles are synchronized with real-time store data.

Qualifications

-**SEO Expertise:**Expert-level knowledge of enterprise SEO -**eCommerce Content Strategy:**Specialized experience in optimizing Product Detail Pages (PDPs) and Product Listing Pages (PLPs) for high-volume retail or large listing sites -**Local SEO & Project Management:**Proven track record in managing multi-location Local SEO and Google Business Profile at scale. -**Technical SEO:**Deep understanding of Site Architecture, Local/Product Schema, and Roadmap Development for large-scale CMS environments. -**AI Search/GEO:**Good understanding of Generative Engine Optimization and latest AI Search techniques -**Advanced Knowledge of Key SEO Tools:**Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Botify, Screaming Frog and Adobe Analytics -**Leadership & Communication:**Experience in vendor management, agency team management, and presenting SEO performance to executive stakeholders. -**Minimum Education:**Bachelor's Degree. -**Language:**Excellent English, French is a plus -**Minimum Experience:**4 - 5 years of SEO experience, preferably within a large-scale Retail or Marketplace environment.

The pay range for this position is $91,900.00 - $126,390.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
