Job Description

We are looking to hire a L11 Senior Manager dedicated GED delivery leads for integration given we have identified a sizeable body of work for which will lay the foundation of future product integrations. The Delivery Manager will provide support to the Program Delivery Lead on a variety of tasks ranging from delivery leadership (driving agendas/discussions involving multiple stakeholder group, building subject matter expertise within the team), to completing required artefacts/documentation (implementation plans, delivery communications and updates, etc.). Additional job details are summarized below.

Role Accountability:

The focus of the Delivery Lead will be to manage integration scope for the Cowen business, and they would be accountable for:

  • Creating & managing delivery roadmaps for tactical, interim and strategic implementation with take-out plans (where necessary).
  • Partnering closely with FO, OPS, Tech and Risk on requirements elicitation, tech builds. coordinating / optimizing testing and BAU transitions.
  • Communicating status and escalating risks/actions/decisions/issues arising from each integration streams to the program level.
  • Being the single point of contact within DDI for all GED deliverables.
  • Provide guidance/expertise in alleviating roadblocks throughout all stages of delivery.
  • Formulate recommendations regarding delivery approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies, and other implementation constraints.
  • Structure detailed implementation plans and hold stakeholders accountable for progress against established scope and timelines.
  • Anticipate delivery risks/issues and mitigate accordingly, ensure timely resolution of impediments, escalate as required.
  • Provide effective challenge to existing processes and work effort estimates provided by impacted stakeholder groups.

Job Requirements:

  • In-depth familiarity with one or more of the following functional areas: Operations, technology, risk management, quantitative analytics, or business management.
  • Familiarity with a variety of financial product types/asset classes acquired through previous tenure in a capital markets role.
  • In-depth familiarity with market risk and valuation concepts, technology infrastructure, and/or VaR/stress/capital methodologies obtained through previous experience in a capital markets function (7-10+ years).
  • Established rapport with a wide range of senior stakeholders throughout the firm.
  • Prior experience in organizational change management/delivery and project leadership highly desired.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to formulate concise and impactful methods of communication.
  • Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions/recommendations.
  • Ability to progress on multiple priorities concurrently while navigating unfamiliar territory and ambiguous/evolving circumstances.
  • Aptitude for amalgamating and interpreting large volumes of information, identifying key clarifications required, and formulating next steps to proceed.
  • Willingness to learn on-the-fly and evolve the stakeholder engagement model.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • University degree or equivalent.
