The Role
The Engineering Manager owns Xposure Music's technology function end to end. You will lead the infrastructure, data architecture, and application development that power our valuation and royalty operations, own cybersecurity across the organization, and manage the health, maturity, and budget of the entire tech stack. You will lead a small, high-impact team including software developers and data engineers, and partner directly with the CEO and the Underwriting function to translate business needs into reliable technology.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the company's data architecture, infrastructure, and cloud environment (AWS). Lead the design, development, and delivery of new internal applications and platform features. Serve as the organization's owner of cybersecurity, data governance, and access controls. Monitor and manage the maturity, reliability, and budget of the entire technology stack. Line-manage and mentor software developers and data engineers, setting standards and priorities. Partner with the Underwriting Manager to build tooling that supports valuation and due diligence. Report on technology roadmap, risk, and spend directly to the CEO.
What You'll Bring
7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years leading or managing engineers. Strong grounding in cloud infrastructure (AWS), data architecture, and application development. Demonstrated ownership of cybersecurity practices and data governance. Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships across a technology stack. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical plans. Strong English written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with business partners outside of Quebec in North America and internationally.
Nice to Have
Experience with Snowflake, data pipelines, or financial/analytics platforms. Exposure to music, media, IP, or fintech domains.
