Position Summary We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Developer to lead development on a variety of enterprise technology initiatives. Reporting to the IT Director, Reporting to the IT Director, this hands-on position is responsible for leading and supporting in the development, design, modification, and maintenance of software applications at Savaria. This position will 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead software development life cycle activities and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Architect scalable and maintainable solutions for complex business challenges.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement strategic initiatives.
- Ensure robust documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and practices.
Technical Environment
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Technologies, C#, and .NET ecosystem
- Knowledge in HTML5, Vue.JS, SPA
- Experience integrating with ERP systems (D365 or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) is a strong asset.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Mindset, Skills & Education
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and back-end systems.
- Proven experience in leading development teams or projects.
- Strong architectural and design skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy and innovation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make high-impact decisions.
- Strategic thinking with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business value through technology.
- Ability to communicate with business partners having various roles and belonging to different business units located in many countries.
- Ability to apply established development requirements and standards, promote industry best practices.
- Educational background in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s required).
