As a Learning & Organizational Development Consultant, you will be a strategic and collaborative partner in cultivating and sustaining a culture of continuous learning. You will work closely with our staff, leaders, and the rest of the People Team to lead professional development through project planning, co-design, implementation and evaluation of a wide variety of learning and development initiatives. You will be responsible for partnering with internal clients to diagnose issues and determine solutions including assessing organizational development needs leveraging a systems thinking and change management approach, recommending appropriate solutions through an equity lens by engaging impacted groups, co-designing through diverse working groups, implementing, and evaluating appropriate interventions. This is end to end Learning and Development project management planning.
Here’s what you will get to do:
- Lead, advise, coordinate, direct, and complete leadership analytics and/or performance planning that cross multiple programs.
- Engage and communicate with key partners on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood.
- Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals, presenting to senior and executive leaders as needed.
- Process redesign and performance metric development.
- Support key strategic and operational projects which including using workforce data to assess opportunities to support the aim of attracting and retaining top talent, stabilizing and developing our people, and building a robust talent pipeline.
- Enable integrated project delivery by taking a systems-approach to planning, decision-making, risk management and overall reporting.
- Utilize your expertise in adult learning principles to co-design, deliver, manage and evaluate learning and development programs using a variety of adult learning methods that appeal to inclusive learning styles using traditional and non-traditional platform tools
- Preparation, set up, facilitation and take down of training sessions for various groups at various onsite and virtual locations (when applicable)
- Online “just in time” learning curriculum development
- Keep abreast of current organizational development trends and developments in learning and instructional methodologies that can be applied to any program
- As a thought partner, gather data and insights from both external and internal resources to inform a variety of solutions with risks and benefits to support senior leadership with decision making and business transformation
- Other duties as required

Here’s what you need to have:
- Post-secondary education in either Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Project Management, Change Management, Adult Education or a related field OR comparable working experience
- Approximately 5 years of relevant work experience with a key focus on project management and talent management
- Experience developing inclusive instructional and educational programming using a needs assessment, change management, systems thinking and adult learning principles
- Relationship building skills with experience in partnering, influencing, coaching and creating credibility with leaders and the people team in remote or disparate work environments
- Project management skills that embed change management principles with demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst for change within and across the business;
- Strong diagnostic skills and proven ability to evaluate options/alternatives and develop recommendations for complex and multi-dimensional problems/issues;
- Able to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive issues in a professional manner
- Superior written communication skills for memo and briefing note development, oral skills for facilitating discussions, and design skills in Power Point to create visuals that convey many messages

- Certified in either Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP or CHRL), Executive Coaching (Gallup Strengths), Project Management, Change Management or working towards certification preferred
- Strong project management skills

Work setup:
We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not permitted.
