With 160 legal professionals in three offices, our firm serves its clients in over 38 languages.We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our family law team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal and administrative assistance to the Team’s lawyers and other staff. You will be expected to use your knowledge of legal practices and procedures to ensure that all work is done accurately and efficiently and in accordance with the firm’s conduct.
Responsibilities and Duties

Organize and maintain family law case files.

Communicate with clients regarding different matters.

Manage litigation calendars and deadlines.
-
Conduct legal research as required.
-
Filing court documents electronically.
-
Assist with discovery, mediation, pre trail and trail processes.

Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Liaise with opposing counsel
-
Support lawyers in all aspects of family law and litigation.
Qualifications
-
2 - 5 years of relevant experience
-
Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure.

Knowledge of Family Law Act & Rules.
-
Knowledge of Divorce Act.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software
-
Familiarity with case management software and e-filing systems
-
Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently

He took a courageous and bold step by starting his own firm in 1981. As a young lawyer, he started as a general practitioner, taking on any case where he could help a client. His practice expanded through his dedication and attention to client service, and as a result, the foundation to Pace Law was established. His first foray was litigation and as the practice flourished, his business evolved in the area of personal injury. He was loved by his clients and the demand for his services increased.
