Role Description This full-time, on-site Mechanical Installation Supervisor role is based in Oakville, ON. The Mechanical Installation Supervisor oversees the installation of pallet storage and AS/RS systems, coordinating mechanical assembly, alignment, and commissioning activities at customer sites. This role includes supervising installation teams, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The supervisor conducts site inspections, troubleshoots mechanical and basic electrical issues during installation, and collaborates with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to resolve challenges. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining installation documentation, enforcing safety standards, providing hands-on support when needed, and supporting training and handover to the customer’s operations team.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead installation teams, delegate tasks, and support performance on-site. Candidates must possess Operations Management and Project Management skills to coordinate schedules, resources, and installation milestones. Candidates must possess practical knowledge of ASRS mechanical systems to support equipment installation, basic wiring, and system start-up. Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify proper installation, alignment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in industrial automation or material handling systems, familiarity with reading mechanical and electrical drawings, and commitment to workplace safety. Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the capacity to travel to customer sites as required are important. A relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields, or equivalent installation experience, is preferred.
