Your main responsibilities Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules and guidelines and actively participate in all aspects of the health and safety program; Support and lead field programs related to contaminated sites, remediation, hazardous materials, construction monitoring, and environmental assessment projects; Conduct Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments, environmental monitoring programs, and remediation projects; Plan, coordinate, and oversee field investigations, including drilling programs, test pitting, groundwater monitoring, field screening, and environmental sampling activities; Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, vapour, and building material samples in accordance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and established procedures; Maintain accurate field documentation, including field notes, photo logs, borehole and test pit logs, chain-of-custody records, sampling records, and daily reports; Support remediation and hazardous materials projects through contractor oversight, site inspections, air monitoring, confirmatory sampling, and project documentation; Review field and laboratory data and assist in the preparation of technical reports, figures, data tables, and project deliverables; Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, laboratories, regulators, and internal project teams to support successful project execution; Provide mentorship and field guidance to junior staff while supporting project planning, scheduling, equipment preparation, and resource coordination. What makes you unique Diploma, degree, or certificate in Environmental Technology, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, Geology, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, environmental field services, or a related discipline; Demonstrated experience supporting contaminated sites investigations, remediation programs, environmental monitoring, and hazardous materials projects; Strong field sampling experience involving soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, vapour, and/or building materials; Solid understanding of environmental field procedures, QA/QC protocols, sample handling requirements, and field documentation practices; Experience overseeing drilling, test pitting, excavation, remediation, abatement, construction, or environmental monitoring activities would be considered an asset; Ability to interpret work plans, technical specifications, drawings, sampling programs, and regulatory requirements; Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic field environments; Valid driver's licence with access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada as required; Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, with the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, background checks, and client-specific site access requirements.
