What You Will Be Doing Inspection and Quality Control:
- Thoroughly inspect fabricated rebar to ensure it matches the specifications outlined in the drawings, including dimensions, bends, and cuts.
- Inspect inserts to ensure they are correctly placed and of the required quality, verifying they meet project requirements.
- Compare the fabricated rebar and inserts to the approved shop drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure that the correct quantity of correctly fabricated and material is correctly tagged.
Safety And Compliance
- Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
- Review and interpret plans, blueprints, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
Other
- Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabricated rebar and inserts, verifying compliance with project specifications, and ensure that the fabricated materials are ready for shipment.
- Conduct detailed on-site inspections of ongoing construction projects.
- Review and interpreting plans, blueprints, site layouts, and specifications.
- Other duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or in other relevant field
- Familiarity with building code requirements and access to material standards and reference codes.
- Ability to read and interpret machine schematics.
- Skills in working with goods and materials manually or with machines are also required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with finishing & repair of concrete on the site.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
