The Art & Curatorial Coordinator supports the team in managing Farmboy’s Artist Partner Program and overseeing the intake of all incoming art, digital assets, and related information. The A&C Coordinator also collaborates with project teams to research and source artists and artwork that align with the expectations of the Art Director, clients, budget, and style preferences. Additionally, the A&C Coordinator works closely with the A&C Manager to support the development and implementation of the Art & Curatorial Strategy.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION

Artist Partners & Digital Asset Management

• Monitor the Artist shared email inbox, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.

• Serve as the first point of contact for the Artist Partner Program and act as primary liaison to Artist Partners (APs); manage and implement the AP communication plan, including drafting and distributing newsletters with input from the A&C Manager.

• Manage the Artist Partner submission process: proactively request submissions, organize incoming assets for review, lead review sessions with the A&C team, and vet high-resolution images for inclusion in Widen. Liaise with APs as needed to obtain quality images.

• Upload and organize approved assets in Widen; collaborate with the A&C Manager to initiate calls for submissions.

• Maintain the digital Library (Widen): regularly curate collections, replace or remove outdated assets, and ensure metadata quality and discoverability. Communicate new content to the Creative Team consistently.

• Collaborate with the A&C Manager on the Artist Partner Program strategy, and lead its implementation, including artist recruitment, retention, and off-boarding processes.

• Provide support to the Production Designer as needed (e.g., with RFIs, image standards, and maintaining overall image quality).

Curatorial Support for Projects

• Support curatorial efforts across all project types by conducting artist research and providing recommendations that best align with project goals.
• Collaborate with Art Directors and Project Managers to execute processes related to acquisitions, commissions, and single-use licenses.
• Act as a liaison to artists and galleries, building and managing positive, productive relationships with external collaborators.

Art & Curatorial Strategy & Administration

• Assist the A&C Manager in evolving and executing the Art & Curatorial Strategy.

• Help develop and refine systems for the organization and efficient access of all art-related assets and information.

• Ensure digital assets and references are properly stored and inventoried across platforms (e.g., Dropbox, SharePoint, Airtable).

• Participate in daily scrums, Creative Team meetings, and other internal meetings as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
