About the role
Our challenge for you: Bring HyCare to the heart of the Quebec sector.
We are The Schippers Group. We are experts in hygiene, and our goal is a healthy livestock sector with dramatically less antibiotic use (AMR). Our proven HyCare concept is the best way to get there: prevention is better than cure.
We are looking for a decisive Technical Sales Representative who can speak the language of the Quebec swine and poultry farmer, both literally and figuratively. You are the hands-on, critical specialist who provides practical advice to achieve top results on the farm.
What are you going to do?
Your mission is to be the reliable technical face of Schippers on the farm, driving product sales through expert advice and execution.
- Hands-on Consulting: You proactively contact, visit, and advise livestock farmers and prospects. You act as the technical specialist, diagnosing issues and providing smart, practical advice on protocols for swine and poultry.
- Focus on Execution: You ensure sales targets are met, always focusing on selling value and demonstrating a clear Return on Investment (ROI).
- Daily Administration: You process orders and record all activity instantly in the CRM system.
- Network and Visibility: You maintain strong professional relationships with key farms and customers. You are visible at relevant trade shows and industry events.
- Internal Partner: You provide constructive advice to your colleagues, sharing market insights from the Quebec sector.
What we are looking for?
We need someone who is commercial-driven, technical skilled, and motivated to grow.
- Your Expertise: You must have HBO (Higher Professional Education) working and thinking level. Advanced knowledge of the professional livestock sector (swine and/or poultry) is required. Fluent proficiency in both French and English is mandatory.
- The Drive: You are commercially driven and energized by closing deals while genuinely helping the customer.
- The Approach: You are a dedicated team player who provides constructive advice to both the customer and your colleagues. You are sharp, independent, and not afraid to give your own opinion.
What we offer?
Working for The Schippers Group is about stability, growth, and impact. This is a remote field position based in Quebec.
- Remuneration: An attractive salary, complemented by an attractive performance-based bonus scheme.
- Mobility & Tools: You receive a company car for your travel in the region.
- Development & Growth: Full opportunity for training and professional development within our MS Academy. You will have clear growth opportunities towards the role of Key Account Manager.
- Security: Working for a stable, innovative, and fast-growing international family business with an impactful mission (AMR). Your employment package includes full health insurance coverage through Blue Cross and a Pension Plan (RRSP).
- Team Spirit: We foster a strong team spirit with frequent social events and collaboration opportunities.
The Schippers Group
What if antibiotics stopped working? We make sure that doesn’t happen. Our mission: a world without AMR (antimicrobial resistance). We do that by improving animal hygiene and care – because prevention is better than curing. We are The Schippers Group, a family-owned company founded in 1966. With over 500 colleagues in 40+ countries and 12 offices worldwide (HQ in The Netherlands), we’re growing fast. Do you want to work for a company that makes real impact? Welcome to The Schippers Group!
About The Schippers Group
For more than 50 years we have had a huge passion for farming. Through innovation and determination The Schippers Group has become a major player in an international market. Our goal? A world without antibiotics in farming.
Many people like to eat a piece of meat, a glass of milk or a boiled egg. We want those products to come from an animal that grew up in a healthy environment. Animals can – just like people – get sick and, luckily enough, also recover from that sickness. Farmers often use antibiotics to make animals recover or even to prevent them from getting sick. Bacteria that cause diseases can and are currently becoming resistant to those antibiotics. These resistant bacteria pose a threat to human health. So, what if we can prevent animals getting sick without using antibiotics? That’s where we come into play!
We believe the solution is improving hygiene in the stable. We advise farmers in the prevention of diseases and we continuously develop products and services that improve the daily work of the farmer. The result: the use of antibiotics already decreased rapidly in western Europe and the rest of the World is following fast. But we’re not there yet! The Schippers Group is conquering the world. We’re growing and increasingly positioning ourselves, with 500+ employees, over 25.000 products and 12 offices in an international market. We are a family owned business in which we work together towards the success of the company. We are more ambitious than ever and will make every effort to improve our service to our farmers.
