About The Opportunity About Powerpay Powerpay is Canada’s trusted payroll and HR platform designed for small and mid-sized businesses. We help entrepreneurs and their teams simplify compliance, streamline operations, and focus on what matters most—their people.

Role Summary You’ll be at the forefront of Powerpay’s growth engine—generating new business by identifying, engaging, and converting Canadian SMBs into long-term customers. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner closely with marketing to convert warm leads and build pipeline through outbound efforts. It's ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, high-volume sales environment with a 30-day average sales cycle.

What You’ll Get To Do Pipeline Generation

  • Prospect into net-new accounts via cold calling, email, and social outreach
  • Execute 40–50 Outreach.io tasks per day with multi-touch sequences
  • Leverage lead lists from marketing and financial institution (FI) partners

Opportunity Management

  • Qualify and convert warm leads into opportunities with at least 50% lead-to-opportunity conversion
  • Conduct discovery, present the Powerpay value proposition, and move deals to close
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to prioritize segments and improve conversion rates

Process & Systems

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date Salesforce records for all outbound opportunities
  • Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and maintain at least 3x quota pipeline coverage
  • Ensure forecast accuracy of 90% or better

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New logo quota attainment with a minimum of 90% revenue conversion
  • Forecast accuracy of 90% or higher
  • Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate of 50% or higher
  • Minimum 3x quota pipeline coverage
  • 40–50 daily tasks in Outreach.io
  • 100% CRM hygiene for all outbound opportunities

Skills & Experience We Value

  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory
  • 2–4 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in HR tech, payroll, or SMB software
  • Track record of exceeding quota in outbound or hybrid sales roles
  • Strong communication, discovery, and objection-handling skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Outreach.io, and common sales tools
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and excited to hunt for new business
  • Thrives in a high-velocity environment with a short sales cycle

  • Prospection de nouveaux comptes par démarchage téléphonique, e-mails et réseaux sociaux
  • Exécution de 40 à 50 tâches Outreach.io par jour avec des séquences multi-touch
  • Exploitation des listes de prospects des partenaires marketing et financiers

Gestion des opportunités

  • Qualification et conversion des prospects prometteurs en opportunités avec un taux de conversion d'au moins 50 %
  • Prospection, présentation de la proposition de valeur Powerpay et clôture des transactions
  • Collaboration avec les équipes marketing et commerciales pour prioriser les segments et améliorer les taux de conversion
