The nature of delivering clean air leaves little room for compromise and BGE is looking for more people that want to safely deliver clean, healthy indoor air environments because clean air matters!

We are searching for someone to join our team in Edmonton for a temporary 3 month term, with the possibility of extension, as a People and Culture Business Partner. This person will assist with the day to day operations of our People and Culture programs, helping ensure they align with BGE’s values, strategic goals, and core purpose.

The day-to-day activities of our Human Resources Business Partner will include:

  • Administration of HR Programs –Provide support in day-to-day HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle. Assist with updating and maintaining HR programs by keeping documents current and helping communicate changes to the team.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention – Support full-cycle recruitment efforts while engaging the employee base with retention initiatives including benefits, compensation analysis, and recognition programs.
  • HR Data and Analytics – Work collaboratively with the payroll team and utilize Dayforce HCM to provide people and data information for business decisions.
  • HR Support & Guidance – Provide daily support to employees by responding to HR-related questions, offering clear guidance on policies, and helping navigate workplace concerns. Support leaders and team members with practical, timely advice while considering relevant employment legislation and current industry practices.

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume:

  • 4+ years of professional human resources experience in generalist roles, including an emphasis on recruitment.
  • Formal education in HR is beneficial; however we will look for those who are able to demonstrate the required knowledge and experience in HR principles, best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with using Dayforce
